First Prize $1000.00
The Donnie 2010 is our 10th annual international digital art contest and exhibit, one of the most celebrated and successful digital art events on the Web.It provides opportunity for artists worldwide to participate in a glamorous event, to advance their careers, to expose their art to a sophisticated New York audience, and to compete for an award, including best-in-show cash prize.
Your art submitted by digital file (maximum five images). We then print your art professionally on 16" x 12" gloss paper with archival inks on a state-of-the-art HP printer, then frame your art in a contemporary wood frame with print protected by glass.
This art is hung in our Brooklyn gallery for the length of the show. An online exhibit on the MOCA site of all entered art accompanies the physical exhibit.
Early entry fee is $90.00 per image (if received before January 1, 2010). Beginning this date, entry fee is $125.00 per image through the end of the submission process.
Art may also be provided pre-printed by the artist (framed or unframed) and shipped to the gallery ready-to-hang. Same fees apply. Shipping arrangements should be made directly with contest administrator. Email address below.
Eight awards are offered: first, second and third prizes and five honorable mentions. In addition to the first prize money award, winners get a prominent winners' page and exposure of their art online through the end of 2010.
A panel of digital art experts, including MOCA director Don Archer, will serve as jurors for the event.
MOCA will publish a full-color catalog of the show as part of our series of elegant catalogs documenting the history of digital art in our era.
All art will be offered for sale. Artists will advise sale price of their art. MOCA takes no sales commission. Prints are the property of the artist and if unsold will be shipped to artist at artist's expense.
